The Royal Tenenbaums Graphic design

I re-watched The Royal Tenenbaums the other day and was thinking about who did the graphic design for the items in the film. I still haven't managed to find out who does the graphic design for Wes Andersons films. I think its a really interesting job, doing design for things that only exist in a film. If anyone finds out or knows who does the design please let me know. I also watched an extra on The Royal Tenenbaums dvd 'with the film maker'- if you can get hold of the extras disc for the dvd definitely watch this, it's a really interesting insight into Wes Anderson's approach to film making.

could have sworn that I saw, on one of those "extras" discs that came with the Criterion version, that Wes Anderson's brother did the illustrations AND design elements. The funny thing is, Wes draws exactly like his brother, and I would bet that the two of them design with similar sensibilities as well, giving all of his films that 'Wes Anderson Aesthetic' (excluding (only) the packaging for 'Bottle Rocket', whose actual cinematic design and "prop graphics" are very similar to all of his films).

Just re-watched 'Bottle Rocket' HIGHLY recommend a revisit to that one. Maybe the best thing Owen Wilson has ever done.

Colin is on the right track here. Wes' brother (with Wes' guidance) is responsible for much of the films design and illustrative elements.

also, check out the Bottle Rocket criterion collection release. it now fits in the family of Anderson work.

yep, knew that his brother did the illustrations but wasn't sure who did the design...
Makes sense they do the design together.
Yep- Wes Anderson is surprisingly good at drawing too- in the dvd extra and he draws Royal Tenenbaums portrait.
Thanks Dwags
